the treasure

$15 for a small scale love seat. It's old, worn, but has great bones. (I had to "dare" Dave to sit on it at the yard sale.) Right now I'm imagining it dressed in this fabric by Anna Maria Horner (have fun looking through all her fabrics).

It certainly isn't on the top of the to do list. Currently, said treasure is hiding under a sheet in the basement. Mom, you are an expert at these sorts of things, what do you think? Good?

a full day

Saturday was great:

*being together as a family, hurray for Dave's Day Off

*farmers market....strawberries

*treasure hunting at a yard sale...I found a treasure and a project for $15.

*Parade!

*WWKIP
I love how in this picture we are all wearing essentially the same hat. The green and yellow stripey that I'm working on was started for Malcolm when he was a baby. He grew faster than I knit. I should have it done before the one on the way arrives.

*naps

*BBQ (one in which we were invited, I did no cooking, just brought strawberries and enjoyed)

*movie night: Jane Austen's Persuasion, because I don't think I'll get the book read in time for book club this week. I'm sure it wasn't his first choice, but he still enjoyed it with me, Dave is the BEST.

Hello knitters...

Tomorrow is World Wide Knit in Public Day. (Apparently it is also on the 20th this year.)

Anyway, to celebrate, find a group of knitters, or just take your yarn and needles with you where ever you go. Check out the years past on flicker.

I'll be with the knitters atNoble Library 1-4pm. After Parade the Circle of course. It will be a fun filled day.
