December 12th.

That's my goal.
I will be at the post office in the morning.

Wish me luck!

I have a few other thoughts for this season to help me keep the peace.

*less is more
*use what you have (yarn, fabric, cards, etc.)
*go handmade
*pace, go slow
*enjoy
*invite the spirit
*do all with love

What are your Christmas goals, thoughts, mantras?

Here are my thoughts. Enjoy every moment we have together as a family. Don't rush the excitement of children.

I'm all about the less is more. We have yet to get a Christmas tree - we probably will one of these years. I'd be all about the make-your-own-gifts, but I'm horrible at coming up with ideas, and even worse at making cute things. Sad.
I think our kids will be getting 2 or 3 little gifts from us. They're so young, they don't know the difference, plus, I figure it's a good habit to be in for the future.

Keep it low key and enjoy. Don't get stressed. Don't pig out. Have fun and create memories.

I am def. a less is more person. When Logan was 2 I went Christmas shopping at WalMart. We were students, and poor, and I felt overwhelmed and sad about all the fun things there were and that I couldn't get him everything. Then I was inspired: WalMart is NOT going to win. The stores will NOT dictate how much I spend or what I will buy. I remembered that Logan was into drawing, so I bought him some colored pencils and paper.

I think I will adopt your Dec. 12 goal for getting our Christmas packages/cards sent as well. Thanks!
