cookie dough

Just cause I feel all springy, I just mixed up some cookie dough this afternoon. Instead of trying to cook it all now and miss out on some of the beautiful sunshine outside, I wrapped up two logs to freeze and have balls in the fridge ready to through in the oven at dinner time.

I was inspired by the yummy grocery pick up from Sarah G. She gave me a package of THE BEST store bought cookie dough EVER that cooked up into amazing cookies. I don't know the name - I'll have to get back to you on that. Help Sarah G.

In other news, yesterday I broke out in hives. Go figure. That happens to me occasionally - and I can't trace it to any food allergy. Feeling great today though. Also, today, I picked up some wood and manure - or maybe "soil" is a better word - for the garden.

I've found that if you drop all the dough out into cookie sized balls and THEN freeze it, you can usually fit the batch on one cookie sheet... after it's frozen, put it in a ziploc and then you can bake 1-10 cookies at a time when you need a little cookie action!

It's Nahla's, or something like that. Only Zagara's carries it, and it's frozen foods. It's not cheap, but until May 4 it's on sale!

Sad, I know, that I know all this.

Ally made some delicious chocolate chip cookies for us all to enjoy. She even used some fancy chocolate chips. Mmmmmm....I had three.

LOL. I have a frozen cookie dough log in our freezer that I've still not made into cookies, mostly because Jonathan doesn't like that kind of cookie (honey-spice snaps). You are so patient to wait till dinner to bake the first pan! Wow! And yay for gardening! Our peas (and only our peas) are starting to sprout!
